Thankful...

Yesterday I was really thankful for life, a few hours later I was just glad to be done with the whole day.

Anyway, circumstances don't dictate joy, only happiness. Today I am thankful and I'm a little bit tired because because I got up like an hour ago.

So what am I thankful for? I'm thankful for life. I'm thankful that the God of heaven and earth chose me to be His servant. I'm thankful that I'm getting to know Him. I think more than anything else I'm just thankful for how He loves me, His love is amazing. His love is vast and yet it reaches down and amazes me once more because of His tenderness toward me. I'm so confused as to how a love can be so great and yet be so intimate! But I'm ok with being confused. :)

I'm thankful for my wonderful family. You guys shoot me back down to earth when I'm having issues. You make me laugh. You make me cry because I see how much the Lord has done in your lives, and how much He has used each one of you to teach me something. I'm thankful for your love of God and how that ties us all together so strongly. I'm thankful for all the fun times we've all had, from driving around the country in the bus to trips to Cali, from trips to Pullman when I was little to trips to Pullman now. I'm thankful for all of you, Dad, Mom, Ruth, Kristy, Rob, John, Max and Bella... You guys are all so amazing and I love you very much.

I'm thankful for my friends. The Lord has truly blessed me with amazing friends. People who are real. Sinners like me but also brothers and sisters in the Lord. Every one of you makes me laugh at least twice a week, (usually more) even if I haven't seen or talked to you for a month. I thank you for making me laugh at myself, for reminding me when to quit, for opening up and talking with me. You guys rock.

I'm thankful for the things that were given to me for a little while, but now they are no longer mine. I'm thankful for my Boomer, who was my best friend for most of my life. I'm thankful for my baby cat who was crazy and would attack me at random points of the day. I'm thankful for the trials in life, each one has taught me different things. I'm thankful for the Lord taking away things that I love, to teach me to love Him first. He is a jealous God that isn't satisfied with only getting half my heart, and I am thankful for these reminders. All that really matters in my life is God, I could lose everything at any second of the day. But I know that He would do that to teach me something because He loves me, and He isn't satisfied to leave me sitting in the muck and never getting to know Him more.

He is good and all I have is His. He has blessed me in so many ways, in every way actually.

But I am like an olive tree
flourishing in the house of God;
I trust in God's unfailing love
for ever and ever.

I will praise you forever for what you have done;
in your name I will hope, for your name is good.
I will praise you in the presence of your saints.

Psalm 52:8-9

And Happy Thanksgiving to you to. I'm drooling right now, I've been smelling turkey for about 8 hours.
