NICE.

Dear people of the world, (I felt like writing to the world today)

I figured out what to use for my visuals for my speech!!! TRANSPARENCIES... Yeah. I'm triumphant AND they are all printed out and looking lovely. I didn't even have to do anything... Dr. Brian D Ray had it all laid out, looking quite spiffy. Thank you Dr. Ray. (Don't worry concerned citizens of the world, I'm not going to plagiarize and say that I made those lovely visuals... I will give credit where credit is due.).

A few matters I would like to bring up. My MP3 player, Preemie, decided to give me full sound today. The headphone jack has died and I have to hold it in to get full sound, OR move it around until it actually makes contact. So anyway, today I barely had to move it at all and I was able to listen to Dashboard in all Chris Carrabba's glory (who, btw is pretty much just beautiful). BUT I was wondering if Preemie is demon possessed because it turns on by itself. This nasty habit killed my last battery. So, as I was driving (I had Preemie hooked up to the car stereo) I turned off the Preemie.. AND THEN IT TURNED ON AGAIN. So, I'm a patient person.. I turned it off. AND IT CAME BACK ON. We repeated this little song and dance routine one more time and then I just decided to leave it on. I gave Preemie a disapproving look and I wondered out loud if a demon had taken possession of my mini zen....

AND! I went to Talbertsons (Target+Albertsons=Talbertsons.. Same area so yeah) and I decided to use my lovely Starbucks gift card to get some black tea. Now, at the Talbertsons Starbucks some of the Baristas have gotten slightly complacent in listening to my drink order. "Venti black iced tea, two splenda, shaken." And 3 of the baristas put the splenda in the cup, pour the drink and and put the lid on... So then I have to drink a bitter iced tea. ALSO these three put like ONE scoop of ice in my drink. ONE SCOOP. I'm sorry. I wanted an "iced" drink. Not a drink with three pieces of ice in it. But! Joe (he's my friend now.. I'm slowly working up to having a Starbucks connection.... He goes to my college so we talk about that. He's nice and he's pretty funny.) and the other lady, who I cannot remember her name. Those two make my drink perfectly. The lady, who I can't remember her name, made my drink today. And as I was merging on the freeway I realized that there was actual ice in my cup. Like she filled the cup up with ice. AND she actually shook my drink, which equally distributes the splenda-y goodness to all the black tea.

I thank you Barista lady, you made my drink correctly and because of that I still have ice to chew on even 2 hours after you made it.

I'm not particular about my Starbucks at all... ;) But I only learned from the best, "Excuse me.. Did you put one and a half pumps of chocolate in there?" =P

If you ever come to our cafe, I'm making Bethany get your drink, not me.

P.S. Cups full of ice only leave room for half full of drink. >_>

Hey now, no need to get rough!

BOOOOO, STARBUCKS. >:O

Go to Tully's. They'll get it right.

And don't even begin to think that your order is complicated/picky. I had a guy come in who wanted his latte at 176.5 degrees, and NO foam... even though a few bubbles will inevitably pop up when you pour milk. :-P

Tully's is so far away though... And there are like 8 Starbucks in my town.

And I like Starbucks. I know their drinks and if I started drinking Tully's then I would have to learn what drinks are good, and all the lingo....

It would take to much effort, more than just complaining about when people get my drink wrong.. =P

Yes, but Tully's drinks are BETTER. The coffe is just better quality.

At least you haaave Tully's. The closest one to me is over 100 miles away-- and it's just a Fred Meyer Tully's. The closest real Tully's is 365 miles away. :'(

I'm sort of in love with Tully's. ;)

Ok, so I work Friday from 7 AM to 11:45 AM, IF you might be possibly, randomly, most-likely, not available to stop in then...? (Wow, that didn't even make sense to me... o_O)

Ok there. I left you like forty-three comments. I miss you. For reals. Bu bye!!

And sorry Roseanne, but Starbucks quality is the best. Truly, our beans and roasts are the finest quality there is. =D Sowwy!!!!

Sir Brian The Manly said...

The Tullys guy told us your roasts taste burnt because you don't pull your shots soon enough. He also said you use 2% milk because it's cheaper, even though it doesn't work as well in coffee. He also told us you aren't able to use cups approved my weirdo nature preservation maniacs, unlike Tullys who just recently switched over.

I personally couldn't care less since I don't drink coffee, but it sure sounds like Tully's is superior. ;)

Hey now you guys.... Who knew a debate would ever star on my blog?!?!?

Wow. Well. If this actually continues on.... No biting, spitting, hair pulling, name calling... Ummmm....

And hey. I've only gone to Tully's once, and I had a white hot chocolate. I remember thinking that it was BOMB. While Starbucks' white hot chocolate tastes too rich to me.

I don't drink coffee so I go for tea and steamers and the like. I like Starbucks' non-coffee drinks.

I suppose both places have their pluses and minuses. But just remember you guys... Starbucks is going to take over the world, while Tully's will not. For instance! There are 8 Starbucks in my town. AND no Tully's.

Oh, and Betty, I can most likely stop in before I go to school. So around liiiiike 9:20. Approximately.... =P

Starbucks puts an addictive element in their chocolate. They have become part of The Pentavret

The bitterness from Starbucks comes from their espresso machines... Rather than pulling shots as needed, the coffee grounds sit there waiting, inside of the hot machine, which burns them.

Also, once Tully's goes public (any day now, literally) they have some like 200 more stores planned to open up. It's true they aren't going to take over-- but that's good. The Starbucks thing is getting ridiculously out of hand. It's no fun, nor is it relaxing, to go hang out at Starbucks, anymore. But I could live at Tully's. (oh, wait, I pretty much did, hahahaha) ;)

When I grow up, I'm going to start my OWN coffee shop, but I'm not going to sell coffee there, I'm just going to sell hot chocolate and Jones Soda. Then I will take over the world.
